GEORGIA GOVERNOR CANDIDATE ALLEGES VOTER ROLL BREACH… Georgia Secretary of State and Republican candidate for governor Brian Kemp is calling for the FBI to investigate what he calls a “failed attack against state voter rolls.” In making the accusation, Kemp cited unusual activity on the state’s “My Voter Page,” which provides residents information about their registration status and voting locations. Kemp, who has been criticized for voter-suppression efforts as well as for overseeing an election he is a candidate in, blames Democrats in the attack but has offered no evidence.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBER/CIVILIAN MAYOR KILLED IN AFGHANISTAN… Pentagon officials announced yesterday that the mayor of North Ogden, Utah, who was also a member of the Utah Army National Guard, has been killed in Afghanistan. 39-year-old Brent Taylor was reportedly training commandos when he was fatally shot by one of his Afghan trainees. Taylor was a military intelligence officer with Joint Force Headquarters and was expected to return to his mayoral job in January.

4 DEAD IN WISCONSIN CRASH… Residents of Lake Hallie, Wisconsin, mourned the deaths of three Girls Scouts and a parent yesterday after they were killed the day before while picking up trash along a highway. A fourth girl was listed in critical condition in a Minnesota hospital. Authorities say the victims were struck by a pickup truck that crossed a lane and veered into a roadside ditch. The 21-year-old man driving the truck drove off but later surrendered.

TEACHERS SUSPENDED FOR HALLOWEEN OUTFITS… Fourteen teachers at an Idaho elementary school have been placed on paid administrative leave after depicting Mexican people behind a border wall or wearing stereotypical outfits for Halloween. The school’s district principal announced the suspensions at a special school board meeting on Saturday. Photos of the teachers were posted on the Middleton School District’s Facebook page. The district deleted the photos and apologized, but screenshots began to circulate online.

GAS PRICES DROP… The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in the U.S. has dropped 8 cents a gallon over the past two weeks to $2.85, according to a nationwide survey of gas stations. The Lundberg Survey found the most expensive gas was in Honolulu, Hawaii, where it cost $3.82 a gallon. Tulsa, Oklahoma, had the cheapest gas at $2.39.

ENTERTAINMENT
ANDREA BOCELLI TOPS ALBUM CHART… Andrea Bocelli’s new release, “Si,” sold 126,000 units to top the Billboard 200 album chart. The soundtrack to “A Star Is Born” sold 93,000 units to finish in second place after three weeks at No. 1. Joji’s “BALLADS 1,” finished third with 57,000 units sold. Tory Lanez’s “Love Me Now?” finished fourth on sales of 54,000 units. Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” was fifth with 52,000 units sold.

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE… “Bohemian Rhapsody” took in $50 million to open atop the weekend box office. “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” debuted at No. 2 with $20 million. Another newcomer, “Nobody’s Fool,” took in $14 million to finish third.
“A Star is Born” slipped to fourth place with $11.1 million. “Halloween” capped the top five with $11 million.

NFL SCORES
Pittsburgh 23 – BALTIMORE 16… Ben Roethlisberger threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Steelers (5-2-1) held off the Ravens (4-5). James Conner rushed for 107 yards and had a TD reception.

Atlanta 38 – WASHINGTON 14… Matt Ryan completed 26 of 38 passes for 350 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Falcons (4-4) past the Redskins (5-3). Tevin Coleman had two scoring catches. Julio Jones had seven receptions for 121 yards and a score.

MIAMI 13 – N.Y. Jets 6… Jerome Baker intercepted a San Darnold pass in the fourth quarter and returned it 25 yards for the game’s only touchdown in the Dolphins’ (5-4) win over the Jets (3-6). Darnold had four interceptions on the day and was sacked four times.

MINNESOTA 24 – Detroit 9… The Vikings’ (5-3-1) defense recorded a franchise-record 10 sacks in pounding the Lions (3-5). Danielle Hunter had 3-1/2 sacks and returned a Matthew Stafford fumble 32 yards for a fourth-quarter score.

Kansas City 37 – CLEVELAND 21… Patrick Mahomes passed for 375 yards and hit Travis Kelce with two of his three touchdown tosses as the Chiefs (8-1) ripped the Browns (2-6-1). Kareem Hunt ran for a pair of scores and had a TD reception.

CAROLINA 42 – Tampa Bay 28… Cam Newton threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns as the Panthers (6-2) topped the Buccaneers (3-5). Christian McCaffrey rushed for a pair of scores.

Chicago 41 – BUFFALO 9… The Bears (5-3) scored four quick second-quarter touchdowns to break open a scoreless game and put away the Bills (2-7). Eddie Jackson returned a fumble 65 yards for a score. Leonard Floyd added a 19-yard interception return for a TD. Jordan Howard rushed for a pair of touchdowns.

Houston 19 – DENVER 17… The Texans (6-3) escaped with a win over the Broncos (3-6) when Denver kicker Brandon McManus missed a 51-yard field goal on the game’s last play. The victory was their sixth in a row. Deshaun Watson threw touchdown passes to Deandre Hopkins and Jordan Thomas.

L.A. Chargers 25 – SEATTLE 17… The Chargers (6-2) fought off the Seahawks (4-4) to win their fifth in a row. Philip Rivers threw a pair of touchdown passes in his 200th consecutive start. Melvin Gordon rushed for 113 yards and a score.

NEW ORLEANS 45 – L.A. Rams 35… Drew Brees passed for 346 yards and four touchdowns as the Saints (7-1) extended their winning streak to seven games and knocked the Rams (8-1) from the ranks of the unbeaten. Michael Thomas had 12 catches for 211 yards and a TD. Alvin Kamara ran for a pair of scores.

NEW ENGLAND 31 – Green Bay 17… James White’s 1-yard plunge with 10:06 remaining gave him his second touchdown of the night and broke a tie as the Patriots (7-2) put away the Packers (3-4-1). Tom Brady added a 55-yard scoring strike to Josh Gordon, who finished with five catches for 130 yards.

MILWAUKEE 144 – Sacramento 109… Giannis Antetokounmpo racked up 26 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists in leading the Bucks past the Kings. Seven other players scored in double figures for Milwaukee.

WASHINGTON 108 – New York 95… The Wizards cruised past the Knicks to snap their five-game skid. John Wall pumped in 26 points. Bradley Beal added 22 points.

BROOKLYN 122 – Philadelphia 97… The Nets took advantage of 28 turnovers in the romp over the 76ers. D’Angelo Russell and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 21 points apiece. Caris LeVert added 20 points. Jarrett Allen finished with 15 points and 10 boards.

Orlando 117 – SAN ANTONIO 110… The Magic led by 26 points in the fourth quarter and held on beat the Spurs. Aaron Gordon scored 26 points to lead a balanced scoring attack.

PHOENIX 102 – Memphis 100… Devin Booker’s jumper with 2 seconds remaining lifted the Suns over the Grizzlies. Booker led all scorers with 27 points.

PORTLAND 111 – Minnesota 81… Jusuf Nurkic scored 19 points and brought down 12 rebounds as the Trail Blazers rolled past the Timberwolves. Meyers Leonard delivered 15 points and 12 boards off the bench.

Toronto 121 – L.A. LAKERS 107… The Raptors built a 28-point halftime lead and coasted past the Lakers. Serge Ibaka made 15 of 17 field goals and finished with a game-high 34 points. Kyle Lowry added 21 points.

N.Y. RANGERS 3 – Buffalo 1… Jimmy Vesey found the net twice to lead the Rangers past the Sabres. Goalie Henrik Lundqvist made 39 saves.

ANAHEIM 3 – Columbus 2 (OT)… Cam Fowler scored two second-period goals and added the game-winner 36 seconds into overtime to lift the Ducks over the Blue Jackets. Pierre-Luc Dubois netted both Columbus goals, with the second tying the game with 32 seconds left in regulation.
