POLL: MAJORITY SAYS TRUMP NOT EXONERATED… A new CNN Poll has found that 56 percent of Americans believe that Attorney General Williams Barr’s summary released on Sunday did not exonerate President Trump and his campaign of collusion. The finding comes despite Trump’s claim of “complete and total exoneration.” 80% of Democrats say Trump was not exonerated. 77% of Republicans say he was.

VENEZUELA OPPOSITION LEADER’S WIFE AT WHITE HOUSE… President Trump appeared with the wife of Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido at the White House yesterday. During the unscheduled meeting, Trump warned Fabiana Rosales de Guaidó that “all options” for U.S. action in Venezuela remain under consideration. The White House has recognized Juan Guaidó as Venezuela’s legitimate head of state since January.

BARBARA BUSH ADMITS SHE WASN’T REPUBLICAN… USA Today reported yesterday that former first lady Barbara Bush admitted two months prior to her death last year that she no longer considered herself to be a Republican. The admission is made in a new book, “The Matriarch: Barbara Bush and the Making of an American Dynasty,” by author Susan Page. The book also claims that Bush blamed Donald Trump for a “heart attack” in June 2016 after his ridicule of son Jeb Bush.

JUMP IN BORDER APPREHENSIONS… Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan warned yesterday that the “breaking point has arrived this week” for the U.S. immigration system. According to McAleenan, CBP encountered more than 4,000 migrants on Monday, with most of the apprehensions consisting of people crossing the border illegally. There were even more apprehensions on Tuesday, McAleenan said.

BOEING SAYS IT HAS PREVIEWED 737 MAX IMPROVEMENTS… Boeing announced yesterday that it has previewed its software fix, cockpit alerts and additional pilot training for its 737 Max planes. According to the commercial-aircraft manufacturer, the changes improve the safety of planes that have been involved in two deadly crashes since October. The Federal Aviation Administration still must approve the improvements. The administration’s approval process was questioned yesterday during a Senate hearing. Analysts say it could take months before the planes return to the skies carrying passengers.

SMOLLETT’S DATA SHARED WITH FBI… A redacted version of the Chicago Police Department’s investigative file indicates Chicago police obtained a warrant to inspect Jussie Smollett’s iCloud account and shared the data with the FBI. The Chicago Tribune obtained the investigation documents yesterday following a Freedom of Information Act request. The request came the day after the State’s Attorney’s Office dropped 16 felony charges against the “Empire” actor.

ARMED MAN ARRESTED AT NATALIE PORTMAN’S HOME… Police confirmed yesterday that they arrested an armed man at the Los Angeles home of actress Natalie Portman on Tuesday. Portland 118 – CHICAGO 98… Seth Curry scored 20 points to lead six players in double figures as the Trail Blazers routed the Bulls. Al-Farouq Amino had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Golden State 118 – MEMPHIS 103… The Warriors shook off a slow start to roll past the Grizzlies and take over sole possession of first place in the Western Conference. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant scored 28 points apiece. Curry also grabbed 10 boards. Durant made 12 of 13 field-goal attempts.

OKLAHOMA CITY 107 – Indiana 99… The Thunder used a 24-0 third-quarter run to take the lead for good in their defeat o the Pacers. Paul George scored a game-high 31 points. Steven Adams had 25 points and 12 rebounds. Russell Westbrook finished with 18 points, 11 boards and 12 assists.

Washington 124 – PHOENIX 121… Jabari Parker came off the bench to score 28 points and gather 11 rebounds to help the Wizards top the Suns. Bradley Beal also had 28 points. Jordan McRae tossed in 21 points. Thomas Bryant finished with 18 points and 19 boards. Devin Booker’s 50 points and 10 rebounds weren’t enough for Phoenix, but at age 22 he became the youngest player in NBA history with consecutive 50-point games.

UTAH 115 – L.A. Lakers 100… Rudy Gobert scored 22 points and collected 11 boards in leading the Jazz past the Lakers. Derrick Favors dropped in 20 points. Five other players scored in double figures for Utah.

BOSTON 6 – N.Y. Rangers 3… David Pasternak scored three goals and assisted on two others as the Bruins doubled up on the Rangers. Brad Marchand had three assists.

Dallas 2 – CALGARY 1… Miro Heiskanen’s third-period goal proved to be the difference as the Stars held off the Flames. Goalie Ben Bishop made 20 saves before leaving with an injury and his replacement Anton Khudobin stopped 16 shots.

COLORADO 4 – Vegas 3… Four different players found the net as the Avalanche edged the Golden Knights. Tyson Barrie scored a goal and had two assists.
