AGREEMENT ON INFRASTRUCTURE BILL.. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced yesterday that they’ve reached an agreement with President Trump on a $2-trillion infrastructure bill. The two Democrats say they will meet with Trump in three weeks to discuss how to cover the cost of legislation aimed at roads, bridges, highways, water, and other infrastructure. According to Pelosi, the agreement was reached after a “productive” sit-down meeting.

TRUMP PROTECTS FINANCIAL INFORMATION… President Trump is going to court in an effort to prevent two banks from handing over his financial records to Congress. Trump, his three eldest children and the Trump Organization have joined in a lawsuit that argues Deutsche Bank and Capital One have no right to furnish the information. Democrats who subpoenaed the records say the effort to block their release will fail.

TRUMP WANTS INTEREST RATES CUT… President Trump wants the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by 1%. The central bank is scheduled to announce a decision on interest rates today following two days of meetings. The Fed has already indicated it is unlikely to change rates from the current range of 2.25%-2.5% for the rest of the year.

ERIK PRINCE TARGETED IN CRIMINAL REFERRAL… House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff sent the Justice Department a criminal referral for Erik Prince yesterday. Schiff said the referral was a response to Prince providing conflicting testimony to Congress and Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators. The testimony centered on Prince meeting with a Russian banker in the Seychelles.

SYNAGOGUE ATTACKER ARRAIGNED… The suspect in Saturday’s deadly attack on a Southern California synagogue is facing additional charges of setting fire to a nearby mosque weeks earlier. Prosecutors say 19-year-old John T. Earnes committed an act of terrorism when he torched the Islamic Center of Escondido, California, on March 23. Earnest was arraigned yesterday on one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder for the Chabad attack, which is considered a hate crime.

ENTERTAINMENT
OBAMAS SIGN NETFLIX DEAL… Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company has announced a deal with Netflix involving seven films and series. Higher Ground Productions will “educate, connect and inspire us all,” Barack Obama promised. Among the projects is a feature-film adaptation of David W. Blight’s Pulitzer Prize-winning biography on Frederick Douglass.

SHOWTIME RENEWS ‘THE CHI’… Showtime is bringing back the series “The Chi” for a third season. The series, which is currently midway through its 10-episode second season, stars Jason Mitchell, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross and Armando Riesco. “The Chi” centers on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence, but bonded by the need for connection and redemption on the city’s South Side.

St. Louis 3 – WASHINGTON 2… Harrison Bader stroked a two-run single as the Cardinals scored all three runs in the top of the fourth inning to upend the Nationals. Adam Wainwright (3-2) allowed two runs on six hits over 6-1/3 innings.

N.Y. METS 4 – Cincinnati 3 (10 innings)… Pete Alonso’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning scored Johnathan Davis with the winning run as the Mets outlasted the Reds. Todd Frazier homered for New York.

San Diego 4 – ATLANTA 3… Franmil Reyes homered twice and drove in three runs to help power the Padres past the Braves. Eric Hosmer also circled the bases. Starter Chris Paddack (2-1) gave up two runs on four hits over six innings.

MILWAUKEE 4 – Colorado 3… Jesus Aguilar blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Brewers hung on to edge the Rockies. Jhoulys Chacin (3-3) held Colorado to two hits over six scoreless innings.

L.A. Dodgers 10 – SAN FRANCISCO 3… David Freese belted a three-run homer and Enrique Hernandez added a two-run shot for the Dodgers. Justin Turner homered with the bases empty.

AL SCORES
BOSTON 5 – Oakland 1… Rick (2-3) Porcello pitched two-hit ball over eight shutout innings. Mitch Moreland hit a two-run homer and Mookie Betts added a solo shot.

Houston 11 – MINNESOTA 0… Gerrit Cole (2-4) allowed just one hit and struck out 11 in a strong seven-inning effort. George Springer, Alex Bregman and Jake Marisnick homered for the Astros.

L.A. ANGELS 4 – Toronto 3… Brian Goodwin’s homer broke a tie in the bottom of the eighth inning and carried the Angels past the Blue Jays. Jonathan Lucroy hit a two-run shot.

Tampa Bay – KANSAS CITY (ppd)… Rain in Kansas City forced postponement of last night’s Rays-Royals game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

CHI. WHITE SOX – Baltimore (ppd)… Rain in Chicago forced postponement of last night’s White Sox-Orioles game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

INTERLEAGUE SCORES
Detroit 3 – PHILADELPHIA 1… Miguel Cabrera singled home a run and Niko Goodrum added a two-run homer in the top of the third inning and the Tigers eased past the Phillies. Spencer Turnbull (2-2) surrendered a run on three hits over six innings.

Cleveland 7 – MIAMI 4… Carlos Gonzalez connected for a three-run homer and Carlos Santana smacked a solo shot for the Indians. Santana also produced a run-scoring single.

Pittsburgh 6 – TEXAS 4 (11 innings)… The Pirates tied the game with a three-run top of the ninth inning and scored three more runs in the 11th to put away the Rangers. Josh Bell delivered a game-tying two-run double. Bryan Reynolds and Starling Marte homered in the 11th.

ARIZONA 3 – N.Y. Yankees 1… Diamondbacks starter Zack Greinke (5-1) surrendered a run on five hits over 7-2/3 innings. Wilmer Flores homered and singled home two runs.

Chi. Cubs 6 – SEATTLE 5… Kyle Schwarber connected for a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning and the Cubs made it stand in their win over the Mariners. Anthony Rizzo also homered with a runner aboard. Daniel Descalso added a solo blast.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points and brought down 10 rebounds. Kris Middleton added 28 points and Eric Bledsoe added 21. The series moves to Boston for Friday’s Game 3.

GOLDEN STATE 115 – Houston 109… All five starters scored in double figures as the Warriors downed the Rockets to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Kevin Durant pumped in 29 points. Klay Thompson added 21 points and Stephen Curry added 20. The series shifts to Houston for Saturday’s Game 3.

COLUMBUS 2 – Boston 1… Matt Duchene’s power-play goal in the second period proved to be the difference as the Blue Jackets held off the Bruins to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 36 saves. The series remains in Columbus for tomorrow’s Game 4.

San Jose 4 – COLORADO 2… Logan Couture recorded a hat trick and the Sharks doubled up on the Avalanche to go up 2-1 in the series. Timo Meier scored a goal and had two assists. Game 4 is tomorrow in Denver.
